Installation Instructions

This page will guide you through the installation of Trinity on our officially supported Linux distributions.

It is strongly recommended that you subscribe to the low traffic trinity-announce mailing list so that you can receive notifications of scheduled upgrades. Also, a Kubuntu-specific list is available if you are interested in Kubuntu related topics.

Ubuntu Trinity Repository Installation Instructions

1. Add these lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

Slackware Installation Instructions

There are Binary packages for Slackware 12.2 available here. Download manually or configure your package manager accordingly. Additional information, build instructions, and documentation are available at: http://humanreadable.nfshost.com/sdeg/kde_35x.htm

Debian Trinity Repository Installation Instructions

1. Add these lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:

2. Add the GPG signing key:

sudo apt-key adv --keyserver keyserver.quickbuild.pearsoncomputing.net --recv-keys 2B8638D0

3. Install KDE 3.5:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install desktop-base-trinity kde-trinity
